What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy explains how FundingCompass (fundingcompass.guide) collects, uses, and protects information about visitors to this website. It covers our use of Google Analytics 4 (GA4), cookies, and any voluntary information you provide via the contact form.
FundingCompass does not sell personal data. We do not run advertising that uses personal data for targeting. We do not have advertising relationships that require data sharing.
Information We Collect Automatically
Google Analytics 4 (GA4). We use GA4 (property ID: G-LDN1LRELFK) to understand how visitors use this site — which pages are visited, how long they stay, and how they navigate. GA4 collects:
- Pages visited and time spent
- Referring website or search term (if any)
- General geographic location (country, region — not precise location)
- Device type (desktop, mobile, tablet) and browser type
- Session and user counts
GA4 does not collect your name, email address, or any directly identifying information unless you voluntarily provide it. GA4 data is processed by Google under Google’s Privacy Policy.
Cookies. GA4 uses first-party cookies to distinguish sessions and users. These cookies do not identify you personally. At launch, FundingCompass uses analytics cookies only — no advertising, retargeting, or third-party marketing cookies are set.
Cookie banner: On first visit, we present a cookie consent notice. Analytics cookies are set only after consent is given for visitors from the EEA, UK, and other regions where consent is legally required.
Information You Provide Voluntarily
Contact form. If you contact us via the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry. We do not add contact form submissions to marketing lists.
Email contact. If you email hello@fundingcompass.guide, we collect the information in your email for the purpose of responding to you.

Data Retention
GA4 data is retained for 14 months within Google Analytics (the minimum configurable period). Contact form data is retained for 12 months or until the relevant inquiry is resolved, whichever is shorter.
